FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is my child too young to start speech therapy?

Not at all! It’s never too early to start speech therapy. In fact, early childhood intervention (0–3 years old) is one of the most effective ways to support your child’s communication development. If you have concerns about your child’s speech, language, or feeding skills,  trust your instincts. Starting early can make a big difference in building strong communication foundations.

2. Will my child outgrow it?

While some children do improve on their own, there’s no guarantee that your child will simply outgrow a speech or language difficulty. In many cases, without the right support, these challenges can persist into adolescence or even adulthood. Early intervention helps to address concerns before they become bigger barriers, giving your child the best chance at confident, clear communication.

3. How do I get started?

Getting started is simple! Just contact us and give us a brief overview of your concerns. We’ll guide you through the next steps by providing all the necessary documentation and scheduling an initial assessment. After the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed report, and we’ll develop a plan for individualised weekly therapy sessions tailored to your child’s needs.

4. How does medical aid work?

We are a cash-based practice, which means payment is made directly to us. We will provide you with a detailed invoice containing all the necessary information for you to submit a claim to your medical aid. Please check with your provider beforehand to confirm what your plan covers.
